Since my team didn't qualify either I'm gonna support Poland.
A safe option considering I'm currently working with loads of Poles!!

last month a friend of mine went to a christian conference in the uk, when she told me about this, she was quite excited, apparently, she had witnessed a miracle.
she saw a women's leg grow 1.5 inches!
previously, it had been shorter than the other leg due to a skiing accident, but now, both legs are the same size.
Zico and Prince - It was a 'New Wine' conference. There is usually a small admission charge (about £5) for delegates which basically covers the venue hire (and Harrogate ain't cheap lol!) and probably just travel and accommodation expenses for the speakers. It's certainly nothing on the scale of the Hagees/Hinns/Copelands of the world and they won't do a shout for more cash during the day.

Pretty amazing stuff!
I read the comments on youtube and one was by a physio who was apparently right there during filming and says that Fran didn't shuffle or anything like that - which was what I wondered, after all 1.5 inches isn't that much!!
I have heard reports within the church I attend, of someone who had one leg much shorter than the other (due to a birth defect I think) - maybe 3-4 inches, being healed in the same way - several of our church members were witness to it.
So what did you do for your birthday today badboy?
Did you buy the website?
Anything else - go for a meal somewhere maybe?
And did you get cards and pressies??!!
Hope its been a good day for you whatever you got up to
had a long conversation with my mom tonight and we went back and forth for over an hour regarding the wt.
she said something tonight that kind of left me speechless as i've never heard anything like this one before.
the wt is right because... .
How do you respond to someone so thoroughly delusional.
That was my reaction too lol! All I was trying to explain to her was how unity doesn't mean uniformity and that was the response I got! I think she missed the whole point - possibly intentionally, who knows?

The watchtower is right because there have been over 50 billion sold. Oh wait that's McDonalds.
Yeah - that's how many MacDonalds have been sold to JWs in field service lol!

Because they're the only ones who can trace their lineage right back to the first true Christians.
And here's another one I heard for real - "We are uniform - we all have the same dress code."
i'm not much of a poster here, but the passing of my mom on friday is as good a reason as any.. she was in deep, no doubt will be refered to as "faithful to the end" by those who eulogize her.
this new chapter in my life of course has me is a reflecive mood.
i'm sure when she was diagnosed with cancer 4 years ago that her hope was that the "new system" would come before she succumbed.
Sorry to hear of the loss of your mum Kat, may peace and comfort surround all your family in the coming days and weeks.
And congrats on your forthcoming grandchild too. Must be a bit confusing having such contrasting news to handle!
i've been wondering about this a lot lately.
when i was a jw, i was always miserable because i was so busy trying to keep up with everyone else, i.e., field service hours, dressing appropriately, having the right attitude, feeling guilty about desiring things not approved by the wts, such as an education.
my own experience as a jw was so filled with unhappiness that it never occurred to me that anybody in the wts could actually be happy and have a joyful life.
unconfused:
How many humans do you think are truly happy? It's not just a JW issue.
Just what I was thinking! There are 'truly' happy people both in and out, just as there are some very unhappy people in both arenas.
Its life as a whole, your outlook and what you do with it all that makes the difference.last night i listened to the conferance call with the bowens.
i thought it was excellent .i feel they are doing a marvelous work & are to be commended .
i am very sorry i upset bob porter.
Grace - what John Doe said
I might be wrong but I don't think they'll have been as upset as it seemed
Either way - don't beat yourself up too much over it m'kay?
